TRAINS in the East End

Union Pacific Railroad and its hedge fund managers are trying to buy Norfolk Southern Railroad.  There is a tremendous amount of misinformation and spin coming out of both UP and NS, as well as from the City of Houston.  At least two Houston City Council members have taken money from UP and its lobbyist.  All of UP's expressed intentions for the merger, if approved by the Federal Government, will damage the quality of life in the East End, worse than the menacing mismanagement of freight rail in the East End already is.
